The number of plastic surgeries performed annually continues to grow based on the ASPS (American Society of Plastic Surgeons). This occurrence is true regardless of sex, ethnicity and nationality.

In the usa, tummy tucks climbed by 9 percent from 2005 to 2006 while the speed of less invasive processes also climbed. The most common procedures performed in 2006 have been Botox injections, breast augmentations, nose surgeries and liposuction.

UK fascination with plastic surgery can be on the rise. The number of British citizens requesting information throughout the initial fourteen days of 2008 has been 32% bigger than the amount of requests during the initial fourteen days of 2007.

This season BAAPS (the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons) discovered gains for both sexes in a vast array of male grooming & cosmetic procedures. The entire amount of plastic surgeries performed by BAAPS members rose by 12.2percent between 2006 and 2007. Though the research found that women comprise nearly all cosmetic surgery patients, the amount of men looking for such processes also increased by 17.5% during the exact same time span.

Not only is that the growth in fascination accurate for both genders, but in addition, it spans all cultural and ethnic groups. An AAAPS (the American Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons) study said that there has been a 400% increase in these processes among non-Caucasian individuals between the years of 1997 and 2002.

Nations in Asia are also undergoing a rapid increase in the amount of cosmetic surgeries. A public health facility in Shanghai says that it performs 20,000 cosmetic surgeries every year. Back in 2001 NPR (National Public Radio) noted that these processes are getting more common among girls in Iran in spite of the fact that Australian girls need to wear clothing which hides most physiological capabilities.

So why can the frequency of those operations continue growing? There’s not any single solution to this question.
